Larry Johnson Twitter Slur
After a devastating loss to the San Diego Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson used a gay slur in multiple Tweets that have the twittersphere and sports world buzzing. While to some the comments seem far from extreme, they have lead to an NFL investigation of the case and a pending suspension from the Chief’s locker room and practice. Curious to find out what he really said, I went to the source. The following are the series of tweets that came from Larry Johnson:
“my father got more creditentials than most of these pro coaches. … google my father!!!!!!!”
“My father played for the coach from “remember the titans”. Our coach played golf. My father played for redskins briefley. Our coach. Nuthn”
“think bout a clever diss then that wit ur [expletive] pic. Christopher street boy. Is what us east coast cats call u.”
Johnson claims that the slur spilled out because of frustration. But history shows that Johnson’s behavior is par for the course. This is not Johnson’s first run around with team suspension. Last year Johnson was benched for three games with an unidentified violation of team rules. The bottom line is that if Johnson wants to stay in the game he has to play by the rules.
