Tim Tebow Concussion
Tim Tebow suffered a devastating concussion in a Saturday night football game against the University if Kentucky. He was sacked by a Kentucky player, and as he was falling back he hit his helmet struck a teammate in the leg, which sent his neck bending at an awkward angle.
Florida fans everywhere were holding their breath and wondering if their championship hopes were down the drain. Tebow was rushed to the hospital for additional testing, but was released Sunday morning. Urban Meyer, Tebow‘s head coach, stayed by his quarterback’s side during the night of the incident. After being released Sunday morning, Meyer reported that Tebow is “doing fine.”
Luckily for Florida and their fans, they have a bye this weekend, which will allow Tebow an extra week to recover. He is expected to start in two weeks against LSU, which will be a game that Tebow is definitely needed.
