Antoine Walker...BROKE!!

Antoine Walker is somehow officially broke. That is right. Antoine Walker, the former star of the Boston Celtics who signed a six-year contract in 1999 for $71 million is now facing felony charges for check fraud and is in debt $4 million to various creditors.

How does this honestly happen? I have heard about people with money problems but this is one of the worst scenarios ever.

Antoine Walker was making over $13 million a year, not counting any of his lavish endorsements, and ends up broke a few years later. They must have made sure he took all the easy classes when he was attending the University of Kentucky. I am sure accounting 101 or financial management 101 was just too hard on the college star.

The worst thing about this whole situation…his mom thinks the press and the media are too hard on him!! She believes that her boy is just young and innocent and it should only be his business how he spends his money.

I guess Rick Pitino was wrong in 1999 when he said, “(Antoine Walker) will never have to worry about money again in his life.”
